All concrete and masonry surfaces shall be cured for 28 days.
All substrate voids must be filled and all protrusions removed prior to application
Do not use form release agents that leave contamination on the concrete
Substrate should be clean, free from loose aggregate, form release agents and other contaminants
Concrete should have a smooth wood float finish
B rick or masonry substrates should be rendered to a fine, smooth finish
B ase and topping slabs should have adequate falls to drain points and gutters and drain points at the membrane level.
Structures to be waterproofed with tremproof3300 HD should have expansion joints as necessary to accommodate movement. All joints should be sealed as per tremco specifications.
Method of application
All substrates must be primed with bitumen contact adhesive at a rate of 5 to 7m2/litre. Prime only the areas which will be covered with membrane the same day. Areas primed and not covered with membrane within 24 hours should be
re-primed. if the work environment is dusty apply the membrane immediately after primer is tack free.
Always start laying the membrane at the lowest point.
Do not apply membrane if ambient temperature is below 5 C, do not apply bitumen primer to frozen concrete.
When the primer is touch dry apply membrane adhesive side down by pulling back the release paper.
Apply in a straight line to avoid wrinkles and "fish mouths" and immediately compress the applied membrane down onto the substrate using a roller or
similar tool to ensure good surface contact and to eliminate any air entrapment.
Lay membrane with minimum of 75mm side laps and 100mm end laps. use extreme care to ensure all end and side laps are fully sealed and bonded.
Polyroof sealant may be applied where necessary to seal around edges and at laps, however it must only be applied after the membrane has been bonded to the substrate. the adhesive side of tremproof3300 HD should not be pushed
onto uncured Tremco Polyroof.
